Django Collective Helsinki jams amid ceilings

23.11. at 17–22

Django Collective Helsinki creates an acoustic atmosphere for Hannu Väisänen’s 12 Ceilings exhibition with rootsy and cheerful gipsy swing from the 1920–50s in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. The group also plays their own compositions, mixing tradition with later jazz expression in a fresh way.

Featuring Aki Hauru and Tomi Kettunen (guitar), Antti Korhola (violin), Otto Porkkala (guitar) and Juuso Rinta (double bass)

Django Collective Helsinki will play several short sets at Kunsthalle Helsinki: 17.30 // 18.00 // 18.30 // 19.00 // break // 20.00 // 20.30 // 21.00 // 21.30.

Free entrance. The evening is part of the event ‘Experience seven museums‘, organised by the City of Helsinki.
