Refreshing morning yoga at Kunsthalle Helsinki

Start your day gently with a dose of invigorating yoga, surrounded by artworks!

The morning yoga classes serve to wake up the body and make space for flowing thoughts. The classes include gentle energising stretches, asanas and sun salutations that get energies moving, and brighten up the whole day. Yoga can also offer a whole new perspective on the ongoing exhibition by Jani Ruscica and its figures who are also stretching and bending in the space!

The classes are suitable for all, no previous experience of yoga is required.

The classes are instructed by yoga teacher Marta Janeczek. “The practice of yoga is like creating art for me: when you step on the mat, you are stepping into your own personal art studio. Each day you find slightly different materials in your workshop; by listening to your body and mind you can find out what kind of movement you should find at this very moment. This is the way a practice can always become perfect.”

Marta Janeczek is an experienced yoga instructor. She operates her ILMA Helsinki yoga studio in the city’s Kalasatama district.
