The writing workshop is based on Anu Tuominen’s exhibition, which exhibits and considers found objects. The workshop looks for meeting points of verbal and visual materials and encourages participants to examine the richness of mental and verbal images around us. The course is inspired by the exhibition topics and methods and teaches about found poetry as an art form with tasks on looking for, finding and writing poetry about oneself and one’s surroundings.

The course is made up of one session held at Kunsthalle Helsinki and two sessions held at NVL. No previous experience or knowledge of visual arts, creative writing or poetry is required. The workshop is led by word art teacher Jenni Hurmerinta.

Open to 12 participants
Course fee: 60 € for members, 80 € for non-members (NB: the course fee includes entry to the museum)
